How to Delegate Tasks Without Constant Questions

You handed over the task.
So why are you still getting five questions about it before lunch?
"Can I send this?"
"What should I do here?"
"Do you want to check it first?"
It's frustrating. You're trying to free up your time, but now you're doing your work and checking theirs.
Before deciding someone can't handle the job, I'd look at the handoff.
Do they know what a good result looks like?
Do they know which decisions they can make?
Do they know when they need your help?
Someone can have the skill to do the work and still feel they need permission for every step.
For example, if a team member handles customer complaints, agree on what they can resolve themselves and which cases need your input.
Then train them, review the first few attempts, and give them room to improve. Depending on the work, that support might take 30, 60, or 90 days.
We built Top10Q to help assign tasks by person or team role. The owner still needs to give people the authority and support to carry them out.
Otherwise, every decision keeps finding its way back to the same desk.
What's one decision your team could make without you if the limits were clearer?
